Nutrivert pursues a twofold objective: to develop, validate or improve the means of fish production so as to reduce the environmental impact of closed-circuit fish farms, and to offer consumers fish of excellent nutritional value and differentiated quality. Deliverables expected at the end of the project include in particular validated analytical tools and experimental models to enable the closed-circuit aquaculture sector to develop into a more mature industry, at the cutting edge of sustainable development, with particular focus on water and energy consumption and waste management; innovative tilapia feeds; a biomethanization model based on the recovery of organic waste from fish farming; and finally, procedures, specifications, patents, scientific publications and other forms of recovery.
