This project is aimed at a wide range of people, from farmers (processors), to small and medium-sized agri-food businesses, right through to manufacturers in the sector.

Objectives

The Food RADARS project aims to sharpen the competitive edge of agri-food businesses in the Franco-Belgian border zone through 3 key missions:

Strengthen the ability to innovate in order to anticipate and manage risks;
Challenge the means and methods used for a more sustainable and efficient food chain through 3 pilot actions (raw material supply, packaging, transport and distribution);
Develop the sales force to capture new cross-border markets.

Challenge 1

  • Bring companies of different sizes, sectors and regions closer together and help them evolve together;
  • Raise awareness of the need to innovate, and work with them to overcome scientific, technical and regulatory obstacles, taking into account the specific features of each region;
  • Develop their capacity to explore new sustainable solutions and rapidly integrate them into their products/processes.

Challenge 2

  • Encourage companies to use more local and sustainable raw materials by structuring new ;
  • Supply chains between farmers and companies;
  • Inform and guide companies towards sustainable, cost-effective packaging solutions;
  • Facilitate their logistics by optimizing the transport of local supplies and products.

Challenge 3

  • Develop the company’s sales force to enable them to better meet customer expectations and leverage levers to facilitatethe development of their business (training, roundtables, etc.);
  • Inspire new ideas and improve their positioning in a constantly evolving market (visits to innovative outlets, inspirational tours to discover new manufacturing processes, etc.);
  • Promote and enhance their know-how to capture new markets (BtoB meetings, participation in trade shows, etc.).
