FormaDistance+ is a new project geared to excellence in food industry companies.

First of all, FormaDistance+ provides a comprehensive framework for the development of its workers’ skills through the audit and support of companies, and the creation and provision tools for digital learning.

It stands out from previous projects due to its multidisciplinary nature and quality of its partnership which stand guarantee for a holistic approach to the implementation of effective solutions for different target groups.

Supported by three clusters of expertise, namely methodological experts, development experts and competence centres, the industrial sector will thus have a contact person for every issue encountered — all under the aegis of Alimento.

FormaDistance+ offers a complete, flexible, adaptable and customized response to any food company in need to develop skills.  It also enables job seekers, students and teachers to be as close as possible to industrial realities through current tools. Finally, it will prepare the different target groups for the agile and connected business 4.0 through the chosen media.

Concurrently realistic and ambitious, FormaDistance+ is giving itself 5 years to reach 48 companies so as to provide training for more than 16,000 participants. It will thus provide access to the digital learning society for a significant segment of workers in the food industry to ensure future developments.

The acronym  FormaDistance+ summarizes the project. It means that the project is part of a “Formation” i.e. training scheme to create and implement Dispositifs Interactifs et Spécifiques pour la Transmission et l’Acquisition de Nouvelles Compétences via des supports Electroniques (DISTANCE) [Interactive and Specific Devices for the Transmission and Acquisition of New Skills]

It also has a “+” sign to indicate that it wants to achieve:

  • More qualified workers,
  • More learning situations,
  • More adaptable contents,
  • More access for workers to the digital society,

And thus contribute  to the sector’s access to Company 4.0.
